~January 6th 2007 - Keydet Invitational (VMI) Anne Marie Gordon 11'9 1st Place PR Congratulations to Anne Marie Gordon for jumping a new personal best of 11'9. Anne Marie remains the state leader in the pole vault as she sets the meet record at VMI. The record was previously held by another Xtreme Heights team member, Kira Barcus (who went on to compete for Georgia Tech) With the jump of 11'9, Anne Marie continues to move up on the Dyestat Elite Rankings. Keydet Invitational Preview By Brandon Miles "The girls' vault stays top notch with the state's best in Duke University bound Anne Marie Gordon of Mills Godwin. Gordon has been a consistent performer over 11 feet this season including a 11'6" clearance at St. Christopher's on December 19th. Gordon has never vaulted this well early in the season as she improved over a foot and a half last year from 10 feet in December to 11'7.25" at indoor nationals."
~January 6th 2007 - Citibank Hispanic Games (The Armory, NY) Carrie Wortham 10'6 3rd Place * Carrie continues to prove that she is an outstanding athlete by placing 2nd in the 3000m run, with a time of 10:33.43
Citibank Hispanic games PREVIEW "The girls will be running the the 3K versus the two mile at the Armory with two Virginians in the field with defending VISAA state champion Carrie Wortham of St. Catherine's and Herndon sophomore Hiruni Wijayarante. Wortham is also a solid pole vaulter with a 10'6" best and is entered in the event as well with the 3K in New York.A fellow VISAA state champion and teammates with Wortham at St. Catherine's, Virginia Ginn will be competing in the high jump in her first meet of the season." ~December 19th 2006 - St. Christophers Anne Marie Gordon 11'6 1st place Carrie Wortham 10'0 2nd place * Carrie Wortham won the 1000m run with a time of 3:10.60 * Carrie was also part of the 3rd place 4x400m relay team. Ben White 12'6 1st place Rob Garland 11'0 3rd place Patrick Gordon 10'6 5th place * Rob also participated in the 55m dash, placing 4th with a time of 7.04s * Rob was also part of the 2nd place 4x400m relay team.
