Anne Marie Gordon, Annie Powell and Betsy Alter took the top three places at the Dogwood Invitational. Anne Marie repeated her best with a jump of 12 feet. She also took a crack at beating Ashley Early's meet record of 12'3, having three very good and close attempts at 12'4. Annie came back from a knee surgery a month ago with a personal best and school record of 11 feet 6 inches. This is two feet better than her previous personal best of 9'6 from last outdoor season. Betsy took third with 11 feet, tying her best. Hillary Parsons placed fifth with a new outdoor personal best of 10 feet. Jennifer Paucke was twelfth in a field of over 30 girls with 9 feet. Mary Mullen Boteler was was eighteenth with 8 feet 6 inches.

Matthew Armentrout took sixth with 13 feet 6 inches. He was followed by David Hively who took seventh with a personal best of 13 feet. Robby Dodson took tenth with 12 feet 6 inches tying his personal best.
