March 5, 2005 - We have a new state champion! Anne Marie won the VHSL Group AAA pole vault title with a jump of 11 feet and 3 inches. This was a new personal best and was only one inch off tying the state meet record set by Kathryn Pettine. Congratulations Anne Marie and good luck next week at the NSCs in New York next week! February 25, 2005 - Today Anne Marie defended her Central Regional Pole Vault Champion title. She won with a jump of 10'6. And Robyn was the runner up with a jump of 9 feet. February 19, 2005 - Great job to Anne Marie and Robyn for doing so great at the Colonial District meet. Robyn placed 3rd with a jump of 9 feet and advanced to the Regional meet. Anne Marie not only won, but also set the new Colonial District meet record, previously held by Lauren Stewart, with a jump of 10'6". Congratulations girls and good luck next week at regionals!
On the boys side, Cory won the Colonial District meet with a jump of 10'6", which also advances him to regionals. Great job and good luck next week!
At the LIS championships, our athletes took the top 3 spots in the girl's pole vault. Katie Doswell won the event with a jump of 10'2", she also won the 3200 meter run. Carrie tied her personal best and placed second with a jump of 9 feet. And Paige took the third spot with a jump of 8'6". Great job ladies!
At the Prep League Championships Kiernan won the pole vault with 14 feet, three feet higher than the second place. Congratulations Kiernan!
February 16, 2005 - Ashley Early set a new personal best with a jump of 12 feet 4 inches to win the Region II meet. In the process she also beat the old meet record of 11'. Ashley Atwood placed fourth with a jump of 9'6". Great job girls! Milestat has a clip of Ashley's record-breaking jump.
February 10, 2005 - Great job to everyone competing at the East Coast Invitational this week. Here's a recap of how great everyone performed: Girls Virginia Invitational division - *Robyn 1st place 9 feet *Paige tied for 2nd place 8'6 Boys Virginia Invitational division - *Kiernan 2nd place 13 feet *Cory Templeton tied for 4th 12 feet Girls Metro division - *Carrie 1st place 9 feet - New Meet Record!!!
February 8, 2005 - Record-setting performances continue - today Anne Marie won the pole vault at the Ashe Center with another personal best and school record. She jumped 11 feet 2 inches. Paige Shannon also set a personal best and school record with a jump of 9 feet! And of course, Kiernan also won the pole vault with another great personal best of 14 feet and 1 inch. Congratulations everyone and good luck with the upcoming distict meets!
February 5, 2005 - Congratulations to Carrie Wortham who set a new personal best and placed second at the Green Dragon Last Chance Invitational this weekend, with a jump of 9 feet. Way to go Carrie!
January 29, 2005 - Great job to all at the Virginia Tech Invitational meet this weekend. Ashley Early won the meet with a jump of 12 feet. Anne Marie placed second with a jump of 11 feet and Robyn jumped Atwell 8'6. And on the boys side, Kiernan got 4th with a new pr of 14 feet!

January 7, 2005 - Today at the CNU Showcase track meet Anne Marie won the women's pole vault with a jump of 11'1. It is not only a personal best, but also a school record, as well as a meet record, previously held by Rhian Jenks. Great job Anne Marie! See the video of her winning jump.
December 2004 - Kiernan beat his personal best by over a foot as he jumped 13'6. Way to go!
Congratulations to Matt and Ashley Early for setting personal bests and wining FUMA track meets in early December. Matt jumped 14 feet and Ashley 12! Great job and we look forward to seeing you go even higher.
