| Boys' State Results | |
| We had a few good performances at the State Meet on the boys' side as well. Jared Rader placed 3rd in the competition matching his best jump of 13 feet 6 inches. Kevin Brinkley jumped 13 feet to take 4th place. And Matthew Armentrout, the only freshman in the competition, tied for 10th with a jump of 12 feet 6 inches. | Girls' State Meet results | |
| In a field of 33, we had four of our girls compete at the State meet this week. Carolyn Lewis of Heritage High School placed second with a jump of 11 feet. Anne Marie Gordon of Mills Godwin placed third with a jump 10 feet 6 inches. Betsy Alter of Westfield High School took 8th, also with 10'6. And Annie Powell of Patrick Henry High School equaled her best of 9 feet 6 inches to tie for 15th. Great job girls! Read More | |

| Carrie Wortham won the Independent Schools State Meet this past weekend with a personal best of 10 feet 6 inches. This is also a new school record. Great job Carrie! | |

| Another great job for Matthew! This week he has moved up to a personal best and school record of 13 feet 3 inches! | |
| Deep Run Invitational 2006 | |
| Great job to Carrie Wortham and Annie Powell for great perfomances at the Deep Run Invitational this weekend. They both set personal and school records on their way to first and second place finishes. Carrie improved her best to 10 feet 3 inches and took the pole vault title. Annie, in her first meet jumped 9'6 to claim second place and qualify for states. Great job girls and we're looking forward to more great performances! | |
