Xtreme Heights Pole Vault
Group AAA Indoor State Meet
Matthew matched his best of 12'6 to place 10th at his first state meet.  He was also the only freshman to qualify for the pole vault event at the meet.  Congrats Matt and we're looking forward to seeing even greater heights this outdoor season! 
Anne Marie jumped season-best 11 feet to place 3rd at the state meet.  The first and second place finishers jumped the same height, but beat her by attempts.  Congratulations Anne Marie and good luck at nationals!
Central Region Meet
Congrats to Anne Marie for winning the Indoor Central Region pole vault title once again!  She accomplished the feat with a jump of 10'6".  Good luck at the states next week!  With a jump of 12'6 Matthew placed 4th at the regional meet.  Patrick jumped 10 feet to place 11th.  The guys were the only 9th graders in the competition to clear a bar. 
Colonial District Meet Results
Once again our athletes won both the girls and boys titles.  Anne Marie Gordon added another district championship to her collection with a win of 10 feet.  Matthew Armentrout vaulted 12'6 on his way to victory, as well as a personal record.  Patrick Gordon, who is in his first year of vaulting, placed 6th with a jump of 10 feet.  All three athletes are moving on to the Regional competition next week.  Keep up the good work!
Prep League/LIS Championships
Congratulations to  Carrie Wortham and Kiernan Lofland for winning both the girls' and the boys' Pole Vault.  Carrie won with a new personal record of 10 feet.  Two of our girls also tied for second place.  With jumps of 7 feet each, Ryan Morris and Paige Shannon shared the silver.  Kiernan cleared 14'6 to easily win on the boys' side, beating the next competitor by 3 feet. 
Indoor Results
Kiernan cleared 15'0 at the St. Christopher's home meet on January 20th and again on January 21st to win the East Coast Virginia Invitational. Matthew won the Richmond Metro Invitational with a clearance of 12'.  Anne Marie won the East Coast Virginia Invitational, clearing 10'6.
