Xtreme Heights Pole Vault

Xtreme Heights is a Richmond, VA based Pole Vaulting Club for aspiring pole vaulters of all ages and levels. The club was established in 1998 and registered with USA Track and Field in 2000 by Val Osipenko, the head coach.

David SullivanCurrent members include middle school, high school, and some college level athletes, including all-ACC performers and school record holders. Some outstanding former athletes include Kira Barcus, VHSL Outdoor Champion and state record holder, and Vika Osipenko, University of Virginia Indoor and Outdoor Track Pole Vault record holder and an All-ACC performer. As well as David Sullivan, University of Virginia Outdoor Track Pole vault record holder, regional qualifier and an All-ACC performer.

Some current athletes include Anne Marie Gordon, a freshman at Duke and the 2005 & 2007 VHSL AAA State Indoor pole vault champion with a best of 12 feet 1.5 inches, Annie Powell, a freshman at UNC-Wilmington with a best of 12 feet, and Matthew Armentrout, a junior at Deep Run High School with a current personal best of 15 feet, and was the 2007 VHSL AAA Outdoor pole vault champion as a sophomore.  Anne Marie holds the indoor state meet record, and shares that same honor with Kira Barcus for outdoor state meet.
